The Creamiest Chia Seed Pudding for Gut Health, Glowing Skin & Stress-Free Mornings
As a mom, mornings can feel like a race before your feet even hit the floor. Between breakfast and getting everyone ready for the day, your own nourishment often ends up last on the list. That’s why this chia seed pudding has become my morning go-to.
This chia seed pudding is ultra-creamy thanks to a perfect balance of half yogurt and half almond milk, giving it a rich, smooth texture that feels like dessert but acts like a wellness ritual. It’s packed with fiber, healthy fats, and probiotics, making it a powerful ally for gut health, radiant skin, and steady energy through your busy morning.
Why I Love Chia Seed Pudding
It’s gut-friendly
The combination of chia seeds and yogurt offers both prebiotics (from the chia) and probiotics (from the yogurt), supporting digestion and overall gut balance.
It contains glowing skin benefits
Omega-3 fatty acids from chia seeds help reduce inflammation and promote skin elasticity, while the protein and healthy fats from yogurt and almond milk give your skin that natural lit-from-within glow.
It’s quick & easy to prep
Prep it the night before in 5 minutes, and your future self will thank you when the morning chaos hits.
It’s kid-approved
It’s naturally sweet and customizable, making it a great healthy treat for the little ones too. My kids devour this in the morning especially with additional berries!
I don’t typically add additional sweeteners but if you need you can add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. I recommend trying this recipe out without the added sweeteners first as it may surprise you with it’s natural sweetness.
What you need (makes 3 servings):
• 1/4 cup chia seeds
• ½ cup plain or Greek yogurt (dairy or plant-based)
• ½ cup unsweetened almond milk or other plant based milk
• 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
• Toppings: berries, banana slices, granola, nut butter, or a sprinkle of cinnamon
Directions:
1. In a jar or bowl, mix chia seeds, yogurt, almond milk and sweetener (if using).
2. Stir well, wait 5 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
3. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
4. In the morning, give it a stir and top with your favorite add-ins.
