Raspberry And Peach Lactation Smoothie
If there is one thing I aim to do for my body postpartum and while breast feeding, it’s supporting it with wholesome, nourishing foods. Smoothies are one of my favorite way to do that. Not only that but smoothies are easy to make and require minimal clean up (and essential for a busy mama!).
I love this Raspberry And Peach Lactation Smoothie because it contains ingredients that support gut health, hormonal health and a healthy milk supply. Plus, it also supports glowing skin.
For this smoothie I used a vanilla plant based protein powder. I try to use one that is clean and organic to support lean muscle, metabolism and satiety. Protein is essential for recovery postpartum and milk supply so it’s important to not skip it! I love this one here!
I love freezing my own peaches for this smoothie. Most store bought, pre-packaged frozen peaches contain additives like citric acid and often coloring. To make sure you are getting just peaches you can either freeze your own OR look for single ingredients frozen peaches.
What you need (serves 1):
8-10 oz plant based milk
1/3 cup frozen raspberies
1/3-1/2 cup frozen peaches
1-2 pitted medjool dates
1-2 tsp chia seeds
1 serving of vanilla plant based protein powder
¼ cup organic rolled oats
Optinal ice to thicken
Directions: Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a cup and enjoy immediately.
