Banana + Cinnamon + Greens Smoothie
Let’s be honest, not all green smoothies are beginner-friendly. Some taste too “green”while others are packed with too many “superfoods” and often taste earthy. But when you’re just starting to nourish your body and support your glow from within, simple and delicious is key.
So if you were standing in my kitchen saying, “Okay, I want to feel better… but I don’t know where to start,”, this is the smoothie I’d make you first.
It’s creamy, sweet, refreshing, and filled with ingredients that support your gut, skin, and energy, without tasting too green.
Why this smoothie helps you glow
Banana gives natural sweetness and creaminess without added sugar. Bananas are high in potassium which helps to regulate water balance in your cells which leads to plumper, smoother and more radiant skin.
Spinach is mild in flavor but packed with skin-loving nutrients like folate, iron, and vitamin C.
Vanilla protein keeps blood sugar stable, supports lean muscle, and helps you stay satisfied. I love this one here.
Cinnamon adds blood sugar balance and a cozy flavor boost. Cinnamon also helps to support healthy gut health which is key to glowing from the inside out.
Almond milk + ice create that chilled, refreshing texture that makes it feel like a treat.
Optional Add-Ins for an Extra Glow
If you want to level it up, here are a few easy additions that don’t compromise flavor but give your smoothie even more functional benefits:
Chia seeds (1 tbsp): Great source of omega-3s, fiber, and hydration support.
Flaxseed (1 tbsp ground): Hormone-balancing and great for digestion.
Hemp seeds (1–2 tbsp): Adds plant-based protein, healthy fats, and magnesium for calm energy.
You can also blend in a little avocado for extra creaminess and skin-supporting fats, or toss in a Medjool date if you like your smoothies on the sweeter side.
Ingredients (serves 1):
1 frozen banana
1 large handful of spinach
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (plant-based or grass-fed whey)
A few dashes - ½ tsp ground cinnamon
8-10 oz unsweetened almond milk
½ cup ice (optional, for texture)
Instructions:
Blend everything until smooth and creamy. Pour into your favorite glass or to-go cup and sip.

• Part of your “glow-up” breakfast (this would pair well with a side of nut butter toast or waffles)
